Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for complete designs from concept to qualification, including making prototypes and conduct engineering development testing to support analysis and assure compliance to established requirements.
- Contribute to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of components, and difficult coordination issues;
- Create new products through improvements of existing products to support customer, applicable industry standards, regulatory, and market requirements. Prepare documentation required to define these products and verify compliance to customer requirements. Prepare documentation required to fulfill automotive product development process;
- Work with customers, suppliers, program managers and other engineering disciplines to optimize designs and identify cost trade-offs;
- Interface with cross-functional development teams, program managers and customers to ensure overall technical compliance of the product to the customer specifications and statement of work;
- Review customer specifications and determine compliance to requirements and/or note exceptions. Review project-related documentation to insure its accuracy;
- Conduct/review engineering analysis and documentation in accordance with DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP requirements;
- Prepare for and participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs) to ensure product meets design criteria;
- Support efforts to commercialize, test and certify company products through agency testing, including leading the analysis of test data, UL, IEEE, SAE;
- Support engineering management in making business decisions, developing program time/schedule estimates, budgets, bid and proposal efforts, and participating in staffing decisions as applied to the electrical design activities;
- Provide leadership to the electrical engineering staff and provide subject matter expertise in all areas of electrical design;
- Mentor and guide the electrical engineering work activities in the area of design, product & process improvements, manufacturability; analyze technology trends for power electronics.
- Travel up to 30%.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), MS or PhD degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in design and development of electronic products with analog and digital circuit design experience, including chargers, inverter circuits design, DC—DC converter power supply design, constant current source design, microprocessor embedded circuit design, EMI protection circuit design, design analysis, etc;
- Hands on experience in bench-top prototype circuit verifications, PCB layout verifications, and familiar with electrical and electronics test equipments;
- Proficient in trouble shooting circuit and system failure, EMI test failure, etc.;
- Proficient in Altium or equivalent schematic capture, experience with PCB layout tools, knowledge of PSpice is desirable;
- Experience in Matlab / Simulink is a plus;
- Experience with Quality systems, Six Sigma, and Design Metrics a plus;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with emphasis on peer-to-peer and Engineer-to-Designer discussions;
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Compensation:
The successful candidate will receive a total compensation package commensurate with experience and background. Our five-year old company offers excellent growth potential, a combination of start-up level base salary, a performance-based bonus and employee benefit program.

Part-Time Technician

Eetrex is seeking a Technician to provide support for electrical design teams on development programs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
- Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
Requirements:
- Computers and Electronics—Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Engineering and Technology—Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Mechanical—Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
