Three Escape PHEVs in 5 days
Hybrids Plus completed 3 Ford Escape PHEVs and delivered them in a span of 5 days.
- We redid the NYSERDA Escape with a new PHEV system. The car is now en route to New York. Later it will be tested at Argonne and then by Etech in Phoenix.
- We convertered an Escape for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The car is now at a conference in Phoenix, will go to California, and eventually to its home in Salem, Oregon. The man in charge of the car flew in in the morning, we converted the car that day and he drove it off that evening.
- We converted an Escape for Alison Gannett, who we believe is the first woman ever to own her own PHEV. Her car is plastered with commercial signs (which paid for the conversion). She will be driving across the country, promoting PHEVs. We delivered her car 2 days early!
Four Prius conversions in October
Hybrids Plus delivers 4 Prius PHEV conversions this month, 2 to private individuals, one to Midway, a car rental company in Los Angeles, and one to the Plug-in Coalition of the Carolinas.

NYSERDA PHEV Delivered
Carl Lawrence, CEO of Hybrids Plus, delivered our first Ford Escape Hybrid PHEV conversion to our client, NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority).

Japanese National TV channel NHK visits Hybrids Plus, films an Escape conversion and interviews Carl Lawrence for a news report (Japanese).
XCEL Energy V2G order
XCEL Energy placed an order with Hybrids Plus for the conversion of 6 Ford Escape Hybrids to V2G compatible PHEV. They will become the first real-world V2G fleet. V2Green will provide communications and control between the utility and the vehicles. Press release (10/22/07)
Our own PHEV
After converting PHEVs for others, Hybrids Plus was finally able to do its own PHEV-30 Prius. We made a stop action video of the conversion process. The signage on the car is very striking (pun intended).
Partnership with V2Green
Hybrids Plus and V2Green signed a contract to partner in the development of V2G (Vehicle-To-Grid) technology.
V2Green delivers server software and distributed electronics to manage the aggregated load and storage resources of plug-in electric vehicles. Its products enable increased use of renewable energy sources, lower grid operating costs, and reduce vehicle charging expense.

Hybrids Plus delivered a PHEV-30 Prius to a private individual in Rifle, CO.
PHEV for Argonne
Hybrids Plus installed a PHEV-30 conversion in a Prius at the Argonne National Labs in Chicago, IL. The Lab will test the emission and the performance of the Prius on their dynamometer.

NYSERDA contract announced
Today Governor Pataki of New York announced that Hybrids Plus is a winner of a NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) contract to convert a Ford Escape Hybrid to Plug-in, as part of their "New York State Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Technology Initiative".

New Headquarters
We are proud to announce that on 11/21/06 we moved to our new headquarters, at 2845 Valmont Rd. The building is a former car dealership, in the heart of North Boulder. In line with our company philosophy of openness, the building has huge south-facing windows offering a great view of the renowned Boulder Flatirons, while at the same time giving passersby a intimate view of our work in progress. We are thankful to our new landlords for giving us such favorable terms, in recognition of the benefits that our company is bound to bring to the world.

In September, we submitted a proposal to NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) to convert various Hybrid Electric Vehicles to Plug-in, as part of their "New York State Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Technology Initiative" We are pleased to announce that NYSERDA accepted our proposal for the Ford Escape. On 11/20/06 we signed the NYSERDA contract.
Demo at the Colorado Tech Week in Fort Collins, CO
Hydrids Plus demonstrated its Prius PHEV conversion as part of the "Clean Energy Partnerships" event, to a crowd of politicians, media representatives, scientists and educators.
